“Don’t find a problem find a solution.” – Steve Agyei
Good morning peeps, meditation done.
Quote for the Day:
“Don’t find a problem find a solution.”
There are people who find solutions, and there are people who find excuses.
Thomas Edison tried over 9,000 different solutions until he found the one that worked, allowing him to bring the world the light bulb. If he had accepted the first failure as an excuse instead of seeking the next solution, you would be reading this in the dark.
Einstein is quoted as having said that if he had one hour to save the world he would spend fifty-five minutes defining the problem and only five minutes finding the solution.
Every person approaches a problem in a different way. Some focus on the problem or the reason why a problem emerged (problem focused thinking). Others prefer to think about possible solutions that help them to solve a problem (solution focused thinking).
Approaching a difficult situation problem oriented might be helpful if we are attempting to avoid similar problems or mistakes in the future, but when it comes to solving the problem we simply waste large amounts of our precious time!
Instead of looking at problems as a negative situation we should look at a problem as an opportunity to find a solution
Ask yourself different questions on how you can solve a problem:
- How can I solve this problem?
- How can I address this problem?
- What would be the first step to solve this problem?
- What kind of preparations will be necessary for this problem?
Practicing yoga everyday helps us find solutions to the problems the asanas or poses set our body on a daily basis.
I always say to my students and clients that the yoga poses represent and prepare us for situations in life.
When you are in a difficult yoga pose or situation in life, you may feel discomfort or even pain which can be scary, but if you breathe, stay calm and relax into the pose or situation the discomfort will ease, eventually go away and the pose and situation will not feel as bad as you first thought.
This is the key to solving problems, you need to breathe, stay calm and then focus on finding the solution.
