“Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.” – William Penn
Good morning peeps, meditation done.
Quote for the Day:
“Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.”
Do you find you never have enough time in your day to do everything you need and want to do?
Do you find you do not have enough time to do any exercise?
Do you find you do not have enough time to spend relaxing with friends, family and loved ones?
Do you find you do not have enough time to get 8 hours sleep a day?
If the answer to any of the above is yes then you need to make time.
One of the things that my online mentor Craig Ballantyne the editor of ‘Early to Rise’, founder of ‘Turbulence Training’ and best selling author of ‘The Perfect Day Formula’ has taught me is to plan my day properly and not waste time. Craig runs a number of global online businesses, yet he only goes online to answer emails for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour late afternoon.
He is one of the most hard working, disciplined and productive people I have ever met.
In his book ‘The Perfect Day Formula’ he shows you how to plan and execute your perfect day everyday.
Craig teaches you that structure creates freedom. The more structure you have in your life the more freedom you have to do the things you enjoy with the people you love.
Craig also teaches the value of the ‘Golden Hour’ or ‘Magic Time’
“The early morning hours are my most creative and productive, and I refer to them as my “magic time. Everyone has a “magic time” during the day when they are 3-5 times more productive, efficient, creative, and energetic than they are at any other point in the day.”
But most people waste this ‘Magic Time’ by snoozing in bed after the alarm goes off or waking up having a coffee, answering emails or reading the paper
Once I got my head around the fact that I need to rest my body at the moment to recover from my injuries and have a bit of me time, I used Craig’s Perfect Day Formula to plan how to use my time away from teaching in London the most productively. I needed to finish two business plans and I want to finish my new book ‘How to be Fit@Fifty’, plan my yoga retreat in Morocco and make sure my body is in tip top condition to teach two group yoga classes and up to four private classes a day, plus spend time relaxing with my dogs and having quality time with my mother.
So my Perfect Day looks like this,
04:50 – 05:00 – Wake up and Meditate
05:00 – 05:30 – Social Media
05:30 – 07:30 – Writing
07:30 – 09:00 – Restorative Yoga
09:00 – 09:30 – Breakfast
09:30- 11:30 – Emails and Business
11:30 – 12:30 – Walk the Dogs
12:30 – 13:30 – Cook
13:00- 14:00 – Lunch
14:00 – 15:00 – Rest & Relax
15:00 – 17:00 – Emails, Research and Writing
17:00 – 18:00 – Walk the Dogs
18:00 – 18:30 – Upper Body Workout
18:30 – 19:00 – Cook
19:00 – 20:00 – Dinner
20:00 – 22:00 – Relax, Stretch and Bath
22:00 – 05:00 – Sleep
I get my 8 hours sleep a day by having a one hour sleep after lunch between two and three pm.
