“Walking your talk is a great way to motivate yourself. No one likes to live a lie. Be honest with yourself, and you will find the motivation to do what you advise others to do.” – Vince Poscente
Good morning peeps, meditation done.
Quote for the Day:
“Walking your talk is a great way to motivate yourself. No one likes to live a lie. Be honest with yourself, and you will find the motivation to do what you advise others to do.”
Last week I was speaking to a friend, who is involved in marketing and he said to me,
“By the way, with your website do you post and email everyday ?”
He advised me,
“You need to only do it once or twice a week to build a brand, if you do it everyday you will begin to turn people off.”
I smiled to myself and thought that’s marketers for you all about building a brand, but are not actually getting what I do and why I am doing it.
I get people fit and help to show them how to live a healthier lifestyle by doing what I do everyday.
This is how I live my life it is not an act or a clever marketing ploy.
This is what I have done everyday since the day I could walk.
I do not think I have gone a week without doing any exercise since I was in hospital in 1974 for a month and I was a few days away from dying, before my mum mentioned to the hospital that my cousin Seth had been over to stay with us from Ghana for a pyeloplasty operation. With that piece of information the doctors realised I had the same thing and operated on me the next day.
Basically from what I understand I had a kink in the ureter- the tube that leads from the kidney to the bladder and all the urine was staying in my kidney and poisoning it and my body had begun to shut down.
Even now at the present moment whilst I am off work and in a lot of pain with three muscular injuries and Sciatica, I am still doing an hour’s rehabilitation yoga, walking my dogs, a half workout, stretching and doing some specific exercises the physio has given me everyday.
I get up at 4.50 every morning, I meditate, I write and I post everyday and have been for the last 4 years.
This is a way of life for me and the writing helps motivate myself.
If someone takes the time to read what I write and finds it helps them, then that is an added bonus and motivates me even more.
What sort of things do you do to motivate yourself I would love to know?
Today I am really looking forward to a Sunday roast, which is my favourite meal of the week.
Have a super Sunday peeps, enjoy your day with friends and family.
